Shaun Bowler & Associates deliver organisational development and recruitment solutions. We deliver culture assessment and positive culture change, as well as one-on-one coaching and supervision for a wide range of professionals.In the early 2000s, we became New Zealand’s specialist local government recruiters, serving almost a third of the market. We continue to deliver innovative recruitment solutions to cities and districts, helping them acquire and retain top talent.
Since 2020, we’ve expanded to serve the not-for-profit and social services sectors.

I’m an organisational psychologist with wide, deep experience in organisational development, business and management. I’ve led change and developed teams as both a consultant and a line manager, holding management roles for the Dairy Board, Statistics New Zealand, the Energy Efficiency & Conservation Authority and KPMG. I’ve since helped hundreds more organisations. A skilled facilitator, I offer diagnostics and workshops to help create positive culture and performance. I deliver regular workshops and webinars on wellbeing, and provide supervision and coaching to managers and leaders.
Graduating with a degree in human & comparative physiology from the University of Otago, I started my career in marketing, later moving to business consulting. I won an MSc (Hons) 1st Class from the University of Auckland, gaining registration as a psychologist in 1996. I’m a full member of the New Zealand Psychological Society with Chartered Organisational Psychologist status.
In 2019-20 my partner Joy and I undertook a volunteer assignment for Volunteer Service Abroad in the Solomon Islands - a life-changing and rewarding experience! We primarily work from and live in Tāmaki Makaurau Auckland, New Zealand.
